Plans revealed for two-year rebuild of Patchway Community School

Plans for a replacement main building at Patchway Community School have been revealed, along with a proposed implementation timeline that shows the new accommodation opening in “spring 2026”. It is foreseen that staff and students will “decant” into temporary modular accommodation on the site in “spring 2024”, at the start of a two-year phased build period.

Major build projects planned at local secondaries

Progress is being made on plans for major investment at two secondary schools in north Bristol. A scheme to completely replace the main buildings at Patchway Community School could be completed by 2024, while Abbeywood Community School is set to be extended in time for the 2023/24 academic year.

Green light given for rebuild of Patchway Community School

Local politicians, councillors and school leaders are celebrating the news that a proposed scheme to rebuild Patchway Community School has been selected to receive funding through the government’s School Rebuilding Programme. The final amount of funding that will be made available is still to be confirmed.
