Green light for second phase of new homes on former Filton Airfield

YTL Developments has been granted planning permission for the next phase of new homes at Brabazon, the new neighbourhood for Bristol taking shape on the site of the historic former Filton Airfield. Consisting of 339 dwellings, the second residential phase will be built on Parcel E1, which lies to the east of the currently under-construction Phase 1, near Blenheim Roundabout.

South Glos Council consults on plan to infill Coniston Road subway

South Glos Council has launch a public consultation on plans to fill in a pedestrian subway near The Parade on Coniston Road and replace it with a zebra crossing. The zebra crossing will incorporate a parallel crossing area for cyclists, with both parts sitting on a ‘raised table’ for traffic-calming purposes. The existing railings along the side of the road will be replaced with bollards.

Plans submitted to turn Toyota site into trade unit hub with fast food drive-through

Plans have been put forward to construct a complex of four trade units and a fast food restaurant with drive-through capability on the site of the former Motorline Toyota car dealership on Gloucester Road, Patchway. The proposal has received a frosty reception from two local town/parish councils, whose concerns relate to traffic and the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
