A public exhibition being held today and tomorrow (Friday & Saturday 24th/25th October) at The Mall in Cribbs Causeway will invite feedback on proposals for new retail space and community facilities at the out-of-town shopping centre.
The planned investment is intended to create a new heart for the emerging Cribbs/Patchway New Neighbourhood, where 8,000 new homes are expected to be built by 2027.
Plans of the area and visuals of the potential development will be on display around the central stairway by the restaurants on the upper level of The Mall and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The proposed scheme includes include new retail, leisure and restaurant space. A large new public space is also planned, which will allow The Mall to develop its events programme with community activities, markets and performances. Improvements to public transport facilities, cycle and pedestrian routes are also included in the scheme.
Philip Vaughan of M&G Real Estate, part owner of The Mall, said:
“We really hope to see lots of people on 24th and 25th October when we can show the local community and our valued customers an exciting vision for the future of their area. In particular, we want to invite ideas for the outdoor event space we’re seeking to create – to be able to shape that space to meet the needs of the community it is intended for.”
The exhibition will be open at the following times:
- Friday 24th October, 12pm to 6pm
- Saturday 25th October, 11am to 4pm

Put your best clothes on and worship at the alter of money, hey, take the grandkids and treat them to some junk food too, why worry, everyones fat these days! Ever thought of an alternative? Try Buddhism! Try thinking of the meaning of life while we trawl the Internet looking for trash to comment on while we kill our time killing time. Why not turn off the Internet and go and do something less boring instead, let’s go shopping! Credit where it’s due, credit is great, live now…. We came, we saw, we shopped.
