Excited fans of the comedian and author David Walliams had the chance to meet him at his book signing at The Mall Cribbs Causeway last Friday (30th November).
Fans waited for up to five hours to get the chance to meet the star, who was launching his autobiography ‘Camp David‘.
As he arrived in WH Smith, a huge roar of cheering rippled through the store, with David giving some children a big high-five. He posed for photos with all of his fans and spoke to each and every one of them, as though he had known them all his life.
Mr Paul Lloyd had taken his son (pictured), a huge fan of the British comedian, to the signing, and he said:
“David Walliams was very funny as per normal and made everyone feel special. The man is a comic genius with a heart of gold.”
After he had signed his book, the author offered each fan a chocolate after promising on his Twitter feed (@davidwalliams) that there would be chocolates at every signing.
The autobiography is his first non-fiction work after releasing five fiction books since 2009.
