Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a 44-year-old man was assaulted in the car park of the Coniston Community Centre in Coniston Road, Patchway.
It happened at about 11:30pm on Saturday 2nd June 2012, when he was set upon by four men. Members of the public came to his aid, including a 41-year-old woman who was also assaulted. Both were left with severe facial bruising.
Their attackers were described as three white men in their late teens or early 20s and an older white man.
Anyone with any information which could help police enquiries is asked to call police on 101. Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call.
