St Chad’s Pre-School in Patchway has been rated “outstanding” in its latest Ofsted report, following an inspection last month.
Operating from the church hall in Rodway Road, the pre-school caters for 52 children aged from two to five years and opens five days a week during term time only. There are currently 80 children on the school’s roll.
In arriving at the overall “outstanding” rating, the inspector writes in her report:
“Children flourish and thrive in this extremely inclusive environment. Staff truly value each child’s uniqueness, working very closely with parents, carers and other early years professionals and settings enabling them to meet their full potential.”
The school is applauded for including staff, children and parents in the decision making progress, which helps it “maintain continuous improvement”.
The inspector has asked the pre-school to appraise the use of its outdoor area to further promote children’s independent learning.
