Tonight’s meeting of Patchway Town Council (PTC) is to be preceeded by a closed session in which Councillors will be briefed on the latest developments at Charlton Hayes and the associated Section 106 agreement for the provision of community facilties.
The meeting proper gets under way at 7:30pm with up to ten minutes of public question time, during which each resident is allowed a maximum of two minutes to address the Council.
Interesting items on the agenda include:
- Merlin Housing proposal to close Langdale and Charlton Courts elderly persons’ accommodation
- Patchway Community Centre redevlopment
- Filton Airfield development
Langdale and Charlton Courts were among ten properties that a consultancy working for Merlin said “needed significant improvements if their future is to be secure.”
A Merlin spokesperson told the Bristol Evening Post (BEP) last week:
“Currently we have no plans to close any of our 50 sheltered housing schemes. We are not rushing into any decisions based on this report.”
